Click on the instructors name to learn more about them.Day on the Alpaca Farm *Deadline Passed* Instructed by: Keith Bancroft/LeAnna Franklin September 4, 2010 (Sat) - 10 am - 3 pm Class Fee: $0.00 The 12th annual Day on the Alpaca Farm will be held Saturday, September 4, from 10 am-3 pm at KeLe Alpacas, Kewaunee, WI. The public is invited to tour the alpaca farm, enjoy live music, visit with a number of area alpaca breeders, and walk alpacas through the woods. Spinning, weaving and felting demonstrations, children’s games, face painting and more. Burgers and brats and booyah will be available. Day on the Alpaca Farm is a fundraiser for the Violence Intervention Project (VIP) which provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Kewaunee County. There is no charge for admission to the event, but people are encouraged to make a donation. The alpacas do their fundraising part by taking walks with visitors for $2.00, giving kisses and being a great photo opportunity. Attendees are welcome to pull up a lawn chair and watch the cria (baby alpacas) romp in the pasture. KeLe Alpacas is located approximately 15 miles east of Green Bay on Highway 29 and 2 miles south on County AB to E1870 Pine Grove Road. We'll be dying wool and silk. Bring your fiber, yarn, fabric and finished projects to throw in the pots. It will be a colorful day! And don't forget a dish to pass. |
